The BB8 header is designed to fit big block engines in 1967-87 Chevy pickups, and 1967-1991 Suburban. Clears all stock steering and chassis components. If you are changing the location of the motor in chassis, be sure to check the dimensions listed below to make sure the BB8 header will still fit.

Available for MarkV (part # BB8MV) and Gen6 (part # BB8Gen6) engines.

    No. The BB8 does not fit that chassis, and it also does not meet emission requirements for computer-controlled, emission-regulated applications.

    The newest GM ZZ454 motor has the aluminum D-port cylinder heads. Does Sanderson make a set for the 68-72 Chevy truck that will properly match the D-port exhaust?

    I'm sorry, but you're mistaken regarding the term D-Port, but let me explain. D-port is a term for mostly small block Chevy applications, where the roof of the exhaust port (the "D" portion) extends dramatically above the typical dimension of the port (like the ZZ4 cylinder heads). What you're seeing with the ZZ454 is a D-"shaped" port (cylinder head part #12363392), where the D-shape fits within the dimension of a normal port. Although the ports on these heads are larger, they are not a D-Port as some like to claim. The issue is basically the definition of what constitutes the difference between a true D-"port" and D-"shape" exhaust port---and many people get it wrong. Our standard big block flange works fine with these heads.

    Are these headers for square port or round port exhaust ports. My cylinder heads have square exhaust ports that measure 1.75x1.75 inch.

    Hi,
    I have a 1986 K20 with a 454. I want to know if you will weld an O2 sensor bung into one of the headers for an added cost. Thanks,

    We would add the oxygen sensor bung for free, but you must state "exactly" where you want it. However, on a header as short as the BB8, we suggest that the sensor be installed in the down pipe instead of the header.

When sitting in driver's seat and engine in front of you, the LEFT header would be the Driver's Side on LH drive vehicles; coincidently, means the RIGHT header is on the passenger side. See the detail image above left that describes engine sides.

Limited 5 Year General Warranty

Sanderson Street Rod Headers strives to supply our customers with the highest quality parts and service available in the street rod industry. In keeping with this, we warrant and will repair or replace, at our option after inspection in our facility, any of our products which are found by us to have failed due to defects in either material or workmanship.  This warranty is activated by the return of the Warranty Card enclosed with every pair of headers, and is effective for FIVE YEARS * from the date of purchase as indicated on the original invoice.

This Warranty does not cover products that fail due to improper motor tuning, alteration, disassembly, or damage caused by racing, misuse, neglect, abuse, improper installation and/or accident, or when used on applications for which they were not designed or approved. We are specifically not responsible for the costs of removal, installation, transportation, destruction of other components, inconvenience, loss of time, or other personal damages, or for any other associated costs including the application of aftermarket coatings applied by others. * Extremely compact header designs which locate the collector in close proximity to the exhaust ports are very sensitive to engine tuning. Improper air/fuel mix or timing of ignition and/or valvetrain can cause early failure due to excessive heat. For this reason, part numbers CC2 and CC3 are offered with a two-year Warranty period only. All other Warranty conditions apply.
