Will these fit a 2nd generation 1964 ford falcon futura with a 260 windsor v8 with ram type power steering and a FORDOMATIC 2 speed column shift automatic?

I saw this was answered earlier, but not in detail. I am dropping a 351W and swapping out my 289 in my 1967 Mustang coupe and have seen other brands state in their product descriptions and installation notes that certain things need to be modified, cut, welded or adjusted to be able to fit. Will these headers fit right in without any modifications to my stock parts already in the engine compartment? I have power steering, A/C, power brakes, and carb. Thanks!

Short answer, no or maybe. Anytime a header set is installed in a vehicle that has something attached to the factory manifold---for example an accessory bracket---it may be necessary to modify that bracket or its mounting. Regarding any other modifications, none are necessary other than changes to the down pipes that connect the header to the under chassis exhaust piping. Be aware that the 351W is a taller and wider engine than the 289/302. Using the proper engine mounts and stands are important to ensure correct engine placement.

    I have a 1972 f100

If the engine is using the GT40-P cylinder head it it will require a driver side FF3GTS and passenger side FF2. Otherwise, use the FF5 header set for the 289/302 engine in the F-series trucks that are not using the -P heads.

I'm putting a '94 5.0 in a '62 Fairlane with AFR Renegade heads (square ports) and a toploader four speed. Had to move the Z bar pivot ball to the bell housing. Can you tell me if these will work. And if not what will ?

The standard AFR Renegade port works fine with the standard rectangular port flange. Only if the heads are extensively ported is the square port flange necessary. Otherwise, the Fairlane requires the FF6 header set. Be sure to specify engine group (289/302) when ordering so that correct header is received.

DIMENSIONS:

When sitting in driver's seat and engine in front of you, the LEFT header would be the Driver's Side on LH drive vehicles; coincidently, means the RIGHT header is on the passenger side. See the detail image above left that describes engine sides.

GENERAL NOTES:

  1. The Patented Leak-Free Design that Sanderson Headers offer you is the only leak-free flange design on the market ... Do Not Attempt To Use Flange Gaskets! The raised flange on the Sanderson Headers will buckle the gasket during tightening and actually cause a leak!
  2. Sanderson Headers are NOT emissions legal on pollution-controlled motor vehicles. It is the purchaser's responsibility to verify local regulations for compliance.
  3. Wrapping your Sanderson Headers with ANY thermal tape voids your header warranty. The best thermal protection for your headers is our Aluminized Ceramic Coating that is available for every Sanderson Header.

In keeping with this, we warrant and will repair or replace, at our option after inspection in our facility, any of our products which are found by us to have failed due to defects in either material or workmanship.  This warranty is activated by the return of the Warranty Card enclosed with every pair of headers, and is effective for FIVE YEARS * from the date of purchase as indicated on the original invoice.

This Warranty does not cover products that fail due to improper motor tuning, alteration, disassembly, or damage caused by racing, misuse, neglect, abuse, improper installation and/or accident, or when used on applications for which they were not designed or approved. We are specifically not responsible for the costs of removal, installation, transportation, destruction of other components, inconvenience, loss of time, or other personal damages, or for any other associated costs including the application of aftermarket coatings applied by others. WRAPPING HEADERS WITH THERMAL TAPE VOIDS WARRANTY.

* Extremely compact header designs which locate the collector in close proximity to the exhaust ports are very sensitive to engine tuning. Improper air/fuel mix or timing of ignition and/or valvetrain can cause early failure due to excessive heat. For this reason, part numbers CC2 and CC3 are offered with a two-year Warranty period only. All other Warranty conditions apply.
