Sanderson Headers - January 2012

Hello Everyone, and Welcome to 2012!

All of us here at Sanderson hope that everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. Now it is time to get back to something else we enjoy doing throughout the rest of the year - building, working on and driving our rides! If this does not show well in your e-mail, please view it on our website.

If reading this on the truncated version at the bottom of our website, please click the ALL NEWS link below.

In our first newsletter for 2012 I will tell you about a few new header offerings; an update on the 2012 event schedule; a few shop services you may not know about; our new catalog; a customer's vehicle/engine combination we are looking for to prototype a new header; and more.

To begin, I will be updating the Event Calendar with the shows and events we will be attending this year as soon as I have compiled a complete list of the dates from the various groups who put on the shows. Something we really enjoy here at Sanderson is going to the shows and interacting with all of you. I can say though, that we will be at The Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California later this month. I have posted details on the Event Calendar, but you can also find more information on the Rodshows website: http://www.rodshows.com/gnrs/

NEW HEADERS:

We have developed and released a few new headers for 2012 that may be of interest.

Part #DD7 - Is a new header for Chrysler fans, specifically those who have A-Body cars using small block powerplants (318/340/360). This new application is a perfect header for your Demon, Duster, Dart Barracuda and other A-Body Chrysler Corp vehicles.

Part #LS10 & LS10_158 - Are two new offerings for those using LS-series engines in their street rods. If you need a tight-fitting rear exit header, our LS10 headers are a good choice for your street rod, custom, or classic truck project.

Part #FF393 & FF393CJ - We now have a header for fans of the 1968-Up Ford Mustangs that using Ford FE engines. Two versions of the FF393 header are available; one for standard FE engines, and another for those using Cobra Jet cylinder heads. These headers feature a large 1-3/4" primary tube and 3" collectors.

SHOP SERVICES:

  • Exhaust System Fabrication & Installation - Some of you may not know that we have a full service shop for custom exhaust installation on your vehicle. If you would like us to fabricate and install the exhaust system and mufflers on your ride, and can get your vehicle to our shop, give us a call at (800) 669-2430 to get an estimate and schedule an appointment. (NOTE: some estimates may require that we see your vehicle first.) We can also install your Sanderson Headers for you!
  • Custom Headers - We currently have openings for custom header fabrication and installation. Beat the season rush by scheduling now! If you have a vehicle or engine combination that does not fall into a category that we already make a header for, we can build a custom set of headers for your vehicle. Call us at (800) 669-2430 to discuss your needs.
  • Exhaust System Coating - Here is something that is becoming more popular. Many crafters are asking to have their entire exhaust system tubing coated to match their headers. Well, we have the capacity to perform this service for you, and at extremely reasonable rates!

Send us your exhaust piping (6' lengths or less) and we will: Clean, Strip, and Prep the tubing; Multi-Layer coat the tubing with the same thermal ceramic coating to match your headers (Silver, Black Satin, or White); Polish the pipes to a high luster; and ship them back to you. The cost is a small $25.00 per/foot (plus shipping costs). This includes your mufflers (if required), but we can also coat your muffler brackets and small components too! (*Call us for a quote*)

VEHICLE NEEDED:

MOPAR FANS ::: We are in need of a customer vehicle to use for prototyping a header using the new Chrysler 5.7L HEMI. As I mentioned before, we thought we had a header for the new Hemi, but the customer ended up with an odd engine of which the header would probably not fit anything else. We had to put this new product on hold, but now we are ready to get back to it. If you live local, or within a distance of getting your vehicle to our shop here in South San Francisco, we need your street rod, custom, cruiser, or truck.

Of course, there are a few stipulations that you need to be aware of before contacting us. The header we want to make for the 5.7L Hemi is a blockhugger, center-dump exit, similar to our other Dodge/Chrysler offerings (DD1, DD2, DD3, etc). If you feel your vehicle fits within the description of what we are looking for, please call Donna at (800) 669-2430 so she can explain the process and benefits with you.

2012 CATALOG:

Our new 2012 product catalog is available, and I just completed adding it to our website. Free domestic shipping is included in the price:
