My Father parked this car in 1953. The rumble seat had been cut out and turned into a pickup truck during WW II . I helped my Dad take it from behind his mothers barn to our house in 1974, where it sat rusting in bushes until dad let me have in 1987. It sat in my garage until 1991 when I sold my house and found I had cancer. The 31 went back to the junk yard at dads while I dealt with life.
Things got better and I built a new garage at my new house. Then, in 1995 I brought the car home and got to work building a new frame. The car looked like a burn barrel, (very rusty), and in 1998 I got my first ride car when it was just in gray primer. In the fall of 1998 my wife Bought me the set of Sanderson Headers and they made the car look great! So I took the car back apart, painted the body as what you now see, and drove it to my 20th class reunion. The Plate # is IDIDIT. Yes, I did do all the work!
The Pickup is My sons 1978 Chevy . Ya, we painted it like my car.
